KOUTA MINAMIZAWA

Co-founder & Augmented Human Supervisor

Kouta Minamizawa is a professor at Graduate School of Media Design in Keio University . He received his PhD in Information Science and Technology from the University of Tokyo in 2010.

He directs the KMD Embodied Media Project, where conduct research on technology, design and social deployment of haptics and embodied interaction to transfer, enhance and create the human bodily experiences, and organizes research projects on Haptic Design, Superhuman Sports, and Sports Co-creation.

He also serves as IEEE Technical Committee on Haptics Vice Chair in Conference, Executive Director of the Superhuman Sports Society. He has received Dean’s prize from Graduate School of Information Science and Engineering, The University of Tokyo, Young Researchers Award and Best Paper Awards from the Virtual Reality Society of Japan, Technical Achievement Award from SICE, Good Design Awards and so on.
